The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Bridge; the main building of worship of Lanciano, as well as the bishopric of the Archdiocese of Abruzzo in Lanciano-Ortona.
Its construction, at least in its original design, dates back to the late 14th century, to host the painting of the Madonna and Child found in 1088 in the Diocletian’s Bridge, an ancient Roman-era structure. The Church of San Francesco is one of the most important sites of Catholic worship in Lanciano, as it houses the relics of the Eucharistic Miracle, a miraculous event that occurred in the seventh century in the city when the hosts became a ceremony in the Church of San Legonziano in flesh and blood. For this reason, the church is also called the Sanctuary of the Eucharistic Miracle.

- 14:00 Visit to San Pio Sanctuary
The remains of Padre Pio are housed in the Conventual Complex of Santa Maria delle Grazie, without any doubt the most famous and representative structureof San Giovanni Rotondo in Italy and in the world: this is a complex formed by a historic convent of Capuchin friars and by two churches. The ancient one dates back to 1540 and is known for hosting San Camillo de Lellis. The new one was built precisely for Father Pio’s explicit desire to accommodate the thousands of pilgrims who had fled to the town in the 1950s; was consecrated on July 1, 1959, and his crypt hosts the body of the saint from Pietrelcina.

- 16:00 Arrival at the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo (World Heritage Site of UNESCO)

On the top of Mount Sant’Angelo, 800 meters high, almost suspended between the sky and the ground, overlooking the Gulf of Manfredonia, rises this sacred place.
The place is revered since 490, the year when the first appearance of the Archangel Michael on the Gargano at San Lorenzo Maiorano took place. Particular is the portal with bronze swingers with the scenes depicting the old and new testament.
